Who has the most spoiled Chickens?

silkie,,,lol,,,it was leftovers from peoples plates that I mounded to high! Mostly they get all the garbage but to them they think it is treats falling from the sky as I hum it all off my deck. I cluck, cluck, cluck and they come a running!

Mine get treats daily too, everything that's already been mentioned, including the table scraps that they just look at me like "I'm not eating that! Go get something else!" and I usually do!

They have full run of my land also, but they love it when I crank up the tractor to mow. We have a real grasshopper problem out here in my neck of the woods and the mower beats the tarnation out of grasshoppers and all other sorts of bugs and they go crazy running around gobbling them up after my tractor passes by.

I too always buy extra fruit and veggies for the chickens at the store, and when my BF goes fishing I demand that he picks up extra bait for them

, crickets, worms and stuff.

Today I dug three big holes in the ground for some plants I'm relocating and every shovel full was closely inspected for grubs and worms and carried over to them for the taking. (I had my gloves on!

Would never touch bugs otherwise!)

But you know, I'm rewarded with a dozen eggs or so everyday as thanks, so my BF doesn't complain! And they always make me smile and laugh so it's well worth it!

I buy grapes just for them. They also love american cheese, if you have never given them cheese try it. I make homemade yogurt for them and they love, love, love that.

I have to put my silkies and showgirls to bed every night. They stand out side the coop waiting for me to pick them up and put them into their cage. Other then that I treat them just like chickens, right.

Moe, my first love...she doesnt know she is a chicken. She comes in the house, roosts on my shoulder while I sit at the computer and she likes to ride in the van with me and go to the post office!!!

I cook for them a couple times a day, they get all the scraps and left overs {well split with the parrots} I make pancakes for them. I adore them like I never thought possible. But ya...moe like to go to town!!! ROFLMAO

My babies like all items listed, also left over northern beans-gobbled them up like spagetti.
I have thought about putting my little Buff, Blondie on a harness leash and walking her through PetSmart.
People do it with dogs, why not.
I once had a friend that had a female silver laced polish who lived 24/7 in the house, was paper trained, had outfits!!!, even slept in bed with her 8 yr old daughter.
I kid you not. The chicken was so humanised, she is 2 and has never laid an egg-thinks she is a person or something.

Obelisk and Slifer got washed and taken for rides. They'd go to Petsmart or Petco and get pushed around in a shopping cart. They'd have their leashes on and Obelisk would sit on the front of the carriage like a hood ornament. Then I'd stop at the treat bar and give them some vanilla pretzels. On the way home we might stop at McD's or BK and they'd get fries.
They had an airconditioner box with a nice fluffy blanket for the winter with a space heater. And their own fan for the summer along with a black and white TV and a radio.
They seemed to like Texas Justice the best of all.
