Who has weird phobias?

I am 33 years old and I am still tile this day scared of the dark. I hate walking down the hall when it is dark or outside when it is dark for fear that someone is behind me. When we used to live in some apartments they were upstairs and when it got time for bed I made sure that I cleared over half of those stairs going up, so that nothing could get me if it was behind me

Another thing that I am scared of (don't laugh) is something being under my bed. I make sure when I go to bed that my feet are wrapped up in the blanket where nothing can reach up and get them.
I know, it's awefull a grown woman scared of these things.....

I'm terrified of planes and elevators. One time my mom, dad, and little brother were jumping in an elevator and I started sobbing. It was SO scary. They said that they wouldn't have done it if they knew I was that scared.

And planes, they just scare me since your 1,000s and 1,000s of feet above the ground and that if something were to happen to the engines or something, there is absolutley nothing you can do put sit there and pray all the way 'till the end. *Shudders* Ugh, just thinking of sitting in a plane that's about to crash terrifies me.

Oh my gosh, I totally agree. My stomach is in knots just thinking about it. I have never been on a plane and I never want to have to get on one either. I have alway's said that I can swim better than I can fly......I'll take a boat.

I cannot abide the feel of a wriggly bug on me. I picked a flea one day off of my dog and the feel of it between my fingers made me SCREAM at the top of my lungs and throw the flea as far away as I could (which made my friend almost die of laughter).

I am one of those people who would tear all my clothes off in the garden whilst screaming despite all the neighbors staring if I thought a bug was in my shirt.

hmmm ok, Flying never gonna happen. Water, I HATE it. Small places, can't do it. But the WORST thing of all is hearing teeth hit together, that makes me SICK. Like when the dogs are playing and hit their teeth and it makes that noise UGH, When I here it I have to grind my teeth together, it's just so freaking sickening.

Oh ya and bugs, mostly grasshoppers and crickets but I had an experience when I was really little, I was walking down the street with no shoes (I have no idea why) and I walked over one of those sewer caps and about 6 billion waterbugs scattered and crawled over my feet! Gah!! I'm going to take a shower now.

ROFL.....bible thumpers scare me, too!!! My neighbor's dog actually peed on one tonight on my front porch but that is another story.

As for my REAL phobia...this is WAYYYYY out there. I love all things creepy.....give me any spider and I am happy. EXCEPT.......Granddaddy Long legs. I know they can't bite me, can't hurt me in any way. However, get one close and I am almost in tears. My kids think it is the funniest thing ever. I wouldn't hurt one, but I will sure hurt myself trying to get away!!!

You and me both with the Granddaddy Longlegs thing, except I react the opposite, I get violent! An old boyfriend thought it would be funny to chase me with one once upon a time, I ran far enough to grab up a baseball bat, and then he was the one who was running after that. I get seriously freaked out by them. I made the mistake of leaving my truck window open one night when it was parked under a sycamore tree over at a friends house, I was driving home later that night, and I felt the unmistakable feeling of one crawling up the back of my neck. I didnt even come to a complete stop, I just let the ditch on the side of the road do that, and I proceeded to strip in the middle of the road and stomp on all of my clothes until I was sure they were dead. I walked the rest of the way through the Sulphur River Bottom, home, and let my dad go and get my truck the next morning. If I ever leave AZ, and God, I hope I do, it will have to be for another state where they dont live.

Oh My.. I forgot.. me too... I hate balloons... I will sneak as casually as I can away from them. It is a fear instilled in me from childhood when my older cousins played the ga,me "Kaboom!"

I have a Thunder and Lightening fear too. Mostly just scared of the noise.. like a dog. I cover my ears and don't want to watch the storm either!

I'm TERRIFIED of maggots! Don't "like" other wigglies, but maggots, make me "OMG! There's one in the kitchen, I told you to take out the trash yesterday, evacuate the house, BREATHE BREATHE, someone pass me a bag I'm hypevertilating, save the BABYYYYYY" kinda fear. Yes, I've done that. My neighbor had to come get IT! I can NOT do maggots. Blah..typing that word is hard!
