That's because 'oui' is the word 'yes' in French.
I know but wasn't sure if it was also a bird breed
Inside,I have:

Yellow Nape Amazon
African Grey
Sun Conure
Cuban Amazon
Yellow Shouldered Amazon.

A Cockatiel that is going on 18yrs. No B/S. Her name is Cookie and she still makes noise as soon as I pull up on the driveway.
Wow, I love African Grey's, that was my second choice if I couldn't find a cockatoo. I also adore sun conures!!!!! My cookie does the same thing. I can hear her across the street!

That's so cute 😍

I agree, just record it and play it on repeat (yes it may be annoying for you) soon enough he'll repeat it. That's how my mom taught daisy
Easier said than done. And the Andy Griffith tune is not annoying for me, believe me

Cockatiels are a darling. I don't recommend you get an African gray unless you've made a decision to commit yourself to that animal. They don't do well with changes of environment; of routine; even of certain clothes. Once they get into that neurotic stage they will start to pull their feathers much like a human chewing on their fingernails. They're very sensitive and not good long term pets.
If you going to get a parrot next time around get something like an Amazon.. they're pretty hardy; they do well with changes; and they're not as neurotic.

I know.....as I said....I have a cockatoo so I know about crazy birds. I hope I won't have to get another parrot for a long time, cookie is only 23.

If you get an Amazon, get Lilac-crowned or a Mexican Red-head. They are smaller and better behaved than a Double Yellow-head, for example.

I have a M2 named Paco. He's a rescue and Ive had him about 10 years now. He's more a companion than a pet. For those wanting birds, especially big ones.
They are a LOT of work, and not just something 'cute in a cage'. One minute you love them to death, the next you want to choke them to death. They need a lot more attention than just a regular bird but can give you so much more back too.

Here's a quick clip I took of paco a few years back now, wow how time flies. I often tease him and threaten to eat him, make a Paco Taco and gobble him right up, or just spank his ass. He laughs at me, he know's I'd never hurt him.
