This is Tweaky (parrotlet) peering from his perch on a towel. He likes to poop on the towel, adjoining wall, and occasionally the nearby shower curtain. He knows lots of words and various whistles! He likes apples, but only red apples, not green ones.
Oh my gosh so cute..he looks fluffy..he reminds me of a love bird.

Cockatiels are wonderful, we have one and just love her whistling and she is very cute....a miniature of my cookie! What type do you want?
I had one as a teen. Well it was a family cockatiel (pretty bird) then I had my own (lily). It would whistle the Andy Griffith song. My mom would say..Sam whistle the Andy Griffith song so he doesn't forget..please..no...Im not doin it again... Needless to say I would whistle the song super fast..

That's so funny. Before I was born my parents would come to Florida six and six and stayed in a RV Park the neighbors actually complained that we were playing whistling songs on repeat to teach our bird to sing. In reality that was just our bird whistling the guy would even whistle as he walked by our motorhome my mom said to get her to start whistling. Obviously that guy was a jerk

He was egging the bird on 😁

Ive been wanting to harness train paco but just have not gotten around to getting a harness yet., I just picture him chewing that 40 dollar harness in half in about 3 seconds.

Potty training, that is one thing luckily HE IS. When he has to go he'll kind of flusff up and if I am not paying attention will say my name, when I look over he'll mumble Poo or PooPoo, most the time I catch it and Ill say paco go poo poo? He'll say go poo poo and then I have about 30 seconds to get him somewhere, ie over a garbage can or a cup or something, ill get something under him and say ok, Go Poo Poo. He'll drop his load, Ill say good bird and bring him back to ... whaever was right before that moment., Occasionally he'll let one loose w/o mention but for the most part he tells me, which IS pretty awesome because big birds can leave a nasty mess, especially if you gave them blueberries as treats.

Edit: If he is close to his cage at the time, on occasion he has been known to just climb over to his cage to let loose a deuce, because he's allowed to poop when he is on the cage.

He is very much like a lovebird except without the piercing shriek noise which is the ONLY noise lovebirds seem to make, lol. I had a lovebird when younger and it was very affectionate! It used to groom my nails when I was at the computer. The lovebird actually bonded with my capuchin monkey even more so than myself. I would never recommend a monkey to anyone, now that was a high maintenance animal! I'm guessing many monkeys end up in rescues as do cockatoos and other large birds...

I really like having a parrotlet, he has lots of personality, very loving, and the noise level isn't unbearable!

Reminds me once of a board I was on for something, I can't remember anymore.
They asked me a question, If you were god, name ONE thing you'd change about the world. Without hesitation, I said, "cockatoo's would come with a volume control' I got numerous strange looks, a few 'ruffled feathers' from im sure you know which crowd, and one lady just burst out laughing. I think we outed another big bird owner that day :D
