Who here HATES their job???

I worked a job for about a year as a veterinary assistant. I LOVED the job, but hated the people and even one of the doctors. It just seemed that everyone wanted to know more than you and the boss vet was real picky-retentive. Everything had to be just right. God forbid a newspaper was crooked in the bottom of a kennel! After he made myself and this other girl brush a dog three times because it just wasn't "right", I decided to quit. I didn't have another job lined up right after, but luckily I had enough saved to get me through until decmeber, where I met a lady who had a bird sanctuary and asked me to work for her. I really, truly love that job. I don't normally have to work with anyone, but I love the lady who owns it like a grandmother and I have no problem doing anything she tells me. Unfortunately, while I'm away at school I don't get to work that job. If I was closer I'd work it year round.

Wow that job sounds awesome. All the cool jobs around here require needing to "know" someone to get in. I know plenty of people but I feel weird asking em to "get me a spot"

I hate my job some days. Other days though it's the best job in the world.

I think a couple of my ex-employees might describe me as one of the bosses mentioned in here though...

It's a 'Filter less" thing.

Find a job you enjoy. Trust me, you're always going to have days where you HATE it. ANYTHING could be better than this, but you'll really never feel like you're working if you're doing something you love doing.

A very wise teacher once told me that the two most important decisions that you will make in life are what you do for a living and who you marry, because the only thing worse that doing something that you hate for eight hours is going home to someone you hate for the next sixteen.

Well....if I would have seen this post yesterday, I would be right there with you 'hating' my job. BUT....I resigned today, so I can no longer complain!

Love it. I showed a man from Georgia 20+ houses in 3 weeks last year, and he bought from another agent. Never gave me any reason, just quit returning calls and never heard from him again. Talked to several people who worked under him, at a big plastic bottling plant here, and EVERYONE of them was livid over the way he treated them, as if they were idiots and they were do to as they were told, no questions asked. These were people who had worked at this same plant since the day it opened over 30 years ago, and he had just walked in the door. . .heard last week he was fired. Good. Hope he has an issue selling his house, and he takes a loss, which he more than likely will. Watch out, Karma can be a real rip when she wants to be.

That is honestly one of the best pieces of advice I have ever heard. Always make sure you are friends with the significant other FIRST because passion and lust can fade over the years, but the friendship and love that creates will never go away.

you guys oughtta meat my boss. hes a real jerk-a-zoid. I work in the office with him but most of our employees are drivers and spend all day running around. Well the boss and another employee just spend all day saying really terrible things about our drivers and it makes me feel so bad. All day long about how stupid they are and cuss word this about em and cuss word that about em. Im certain i am talked about this way when i am not in the office. its so unprofessional.
