New to this....I have 7 five week chickens. I have tried so hard to learn how to tell the roo's from the hen's....really I have. I have read all the posts, sit in my run and look at them for hours and truthfully I have no idea. Care to help out a newbie? Also a quick question, If I find out I have more than 1 roo should I try to sell him now? I really only want one. Would this time of year be a good time to find him a new home? Thanks so much for all your help.. Sorry so many pics.

I find it hard to tell right now too (mine are about 11 weeks)... I'm hopin I'm looking too hard and I really have all hens:)
Sorry I can't help (although most look like girls to me) but thought I'd bump you.

It is posible last two or one of them to be roo,but for now I do not see rooster sign. All girls for now

Thanks all! I am just impatient. I guess I will have to get non gender names like Jean or Pat

I like the creative names, maybe I will go that route. I am begining to think that a crow or an egg will be the only way I will tell too. Doesn't it seem like summer just flew by but the 18-20 weeks it takes for a chicken to lay an egg just creeps along?
