Who is getting eggs?

I just looked those up, they are pretty! Any idea what color they'll be? Last year I candled the heck out of mine, too and it sure didn't affect the ones under the hens, great hatch rates on those... My problem is my incubator skills, or lack thereof, lol.

Hey Kathy, just thought I'd update. I candled last night at 6 days, looks like we have def. development in 3, probably 2 clears, and 2 that I'm not sure about yet, these barnevelder eggs are a darker brown than I'm used to .

Not too bad for shipped ebay eggs.

My peas are being a pain in the butt! My call duck has been laying eggs and the peas go and crack it! They have oyster shell, so I think they're doing it because it's different. What do I do when my peahen lays an egg? I don't want the breaking them....how do I stop them or ideas?

I worry about that, too, so what I did last season was pick up the eggs before dark. Not sure you can break them from eating them once they figure out how.
