Baldie - I hope you have a wonderful hatch!! You have had so much grief with eggs lately - you deserve it! Oh yeah - I told my mailman thanks for treating my boxes nice - then told him what was in them. He thought that was pretty cool then said - "Why wouldn't I treat them nice - I get packages too."

Jennifer - I know - trying to plot how I can create an eggstra cute pic of him.

Maybe stuff him back in his shell then get just his head poking out, or in mid-jump pecking the silkies, hmmmmm

I'll look around for some cute props.

Oh, I could get him and all the blue silkie chicks with the blue frizzle cochin and title it "Blue Man Group"

I'm hatching! Well, the incubator was hatching and now my Mama is hatching! We had a surprise hatch that started Monday and ended last night. 7 chickapeas that we had no idea were coming cuz we didn't know when the eggs were laid (these didn't come from our chickens). And Mama was supposed to start tomorrow but I guess one little chickapea decided to get a head start!

I've got one chick and one egg that has pipped!!

I hate the way they lay there like they are dead after they hatch. I am pretty sure that I can see breathing.
