Who is pipping and waiting right now??

Today is day 22 on 13 duck eggs. Just have to remember to start the hatcher the day before I move the eggs into it! There's a couple more in there that are on about day 15. Good thing I marked the eggs!

the temp in my incubator keeps jumping up...101.4 or so and I have to remove the lid a bit to bring it back down. Trouble with that is when I open the lid a bit the humidity goes up

It is in the upper 80's and 100% humidity outside right now. I sure hope this hatch goes well! I would prefer the temps to be on the low side as opposed to being on the high side. And this is day 9

I have 2 chicks from my hangemhorns eggs:) These eggs were stuck in the mail in the heat last month when the post offices around here were closed for a few days due to the flooding. I'm so happy!

I had thrown out some of them due to them getting stinky.

and hadn't expected anything to happen. But I got 2 chicks

Thanks Cynthia, I just love your Blue Orps!

My camera is broken:( They are really cute though:) Little yellow fuzz balls with black spots on them. They were from a mix of white leghorn hen and oegb roo and frizzle roo. I am crossing my fingers at least one is a frizzle and that they are both pullets so I can have some nice large leghorn type eggs in my mix of others. I'm still amazed any of the eggs hatched.

ETA: A third black one is hatching right now:) 3/4 out of the egg. Yippee!!!
