Bumped my humidity up this morning... now comes the worst of the waiting!

That helped - chickens are amazing!

I have nine mixed-breed babies now, out of white eggs, green eggs, and brown eggs. EIGHT of the babies are black with yellow trim. ONE baby is rufus. How did this happen? The egg man said he has 200 free-ranging chickens and lots of roos. One of those roos must be really busy, huh?

Today is Day 17 and we're firing up the Fridge-a-Bator hatcher for 7 Delawares and 11 Blue/Black/Splash Orpingtons from my flock. The 9 eggs from Christina are on Day 15 today, so 2 days behind.

I have two pips so far this morning. They are Black Standard Cochins. They are right on schedule. I have 8 all together so hopefully I will have eight new babies soon!

OK, so the first six hatched a day early, the next five were on time, and there is one pipped egg with a live chick in it just sitting there. I have been talking to it, the other chicks have been talking to it, and it doesn't want to come out. The two remaining eggs have not pipped, so I'm just staring at them.

Had 5 orps hatch and 1 blue silkie and 1 semera, 1 ameracana and a sumatra today.

Just checked my broody hen and she has had one of the chicks so far. She had 3 eggs under her but I put one under her a couple days after she started sitting so we will see.

I have 7 Rouen eggs in the bator on day 26 stopped turnning soo now it's awaiting game for me

at least 3 hatch out these are out of our Duck who died so we would like to have some baby Butters running around.
