I'm gonna be devastated if none of mine hatch.

Congrats to you guys that have pips and hatches!! Send me some of them good vibes!

Edited to add: body, what is your humidity like now? Mine is 71%. Is that ok?

goatkeepers, your humidity sounds fine, just perfect.
This is my FIRST hatch ever, I fear my temps were a touch too high.. I had 3 thermometers all reading something different... I kept the humidity low during incubation, and am having trouble getting it up now... I didn't learn to use my water trays well before I did this...

So.. I've actually been using a steamer to add humidity & warmth to the entire room they are in... I used an extra bedroom as the hatchery. So.. the room itself is pretty warm & moist, but inside the bator I'm still reading 63-71% depending on which hygrometer I look at..

I don't know... but just hang in there.. breeds, setting, incubation temps & humidity all play a role... this is early.. if it makes you feel any better, i'm actually starting to worry about mine because they are early...

Lol, that does make me feel a tad better, thanks!

I just hope that at least a couple will hatch! Of course I have a tough day at work tomorrow, that day they are due to hatch.

I should have taken the day off! I'll be stressing the whole time.

Off to check on them again...

I have cortunix quail hatching and hatched and also some mille fluers, bob whites, gambel X bobwhite, turkey and other chickens not sure what they are.

3 hatched so far, 2 black frizzle bantam cochins and 1 partridge bantam cochin. One more is pipped but not zipping yet. The other 2 have been "maybe's" for about a week. Saddle aircells, high temp spike once, etc. At least they don't look like "one-eyed, one-horned, flying purple people eaters" !!

I was afraid of that with that high temp spike. So far, so good...

I have Giant Blue cochins pipping right now, one has already came all the way out.

Seller said I should have 50% blue, 25% black and 25% splash.

Have 23 eggs in the bator, looks like I have 14 pipping

Dawn

I have a broody sitting on ? for count and ? for what may hatch out of those eggs. I had ordered hatching eggs and wanted my 2 broodies to sit them. I gave each one some eggs just to keep them happy until the ones I ordered showed up. All of my chickens were running together and all but one rooster was sold. Now unless that rooster was Super Rooster, I know he couldn't have taken care of all the girls. Since all the ordered hatching eggs fit under one hen, I put all the odd ball eggs under the other hen. I really didn't expect any to hatch since fertility was in question. They are to hatch tomorrow. This afternoon I went out to the coop and ma hen was just a talking away and I hear peeps coming from under her. What a surprise. I will leave her alone until tomorrow and then see what is under her. The ordered eggs are to hatch in a week. I hope they do as well.

Here's 2 of the silkies, ones black and ones blue. The other egg that hatched was one of my polish eggs, thought it was a silkie, LOL.
