Who is pipping and waiting right now??

I am getting close to hatching in my new bator, Friday I take the turner out and increase humidity. I also have some eggs under a broody hen, and three have hatched. They are so cute. I'm not sure if they are BR, BSL, or Black Astrolorps though. Only time will tell. Thanks for the info on the bator MP.

My first ever hatch! 5 out of 9 are piping.

I suppose we waiting too, but I don't think we qualify. (See our post, "Any hope here?")

Am taking comfort in the three campines and single silkie we have in the brooder (from the feedstore). The campines are a little past 2 weeks now. (Blue silkie is 4 - 5 days younger and holding her own).

Not sure about the silkie, but we definitely have a little cockerel out of our campine picks. This will be our first experience with a roo, too! .and he's acting out already - jumping at the others and standing All too tall. Imagine. "Steve" is only 2.5 weeks and he already has a harem (and knows it). Hope he doesn't become a "know-it-all"!

We have two fuzzy butts on day 19!! Another 29 due to hatch out in the next 5 days. (staggered hatch) I should be pretty much insane long before it's all over.
