Who is pipping and waiting right now??

I just had two more quail hatch... I'm up to 7 now. I just emailed the gal I bought the eggs from, and she was amazed that I got any with all the problems. I have high hopes that these little babies will be very strong - they've survived sooo much!

I have three seramas on Day 15, some banties and a mix on day 10 (however, I hold little faith in these-bad shipment, many broke), and a replacement mix of 10 on day 3.

I am biting my nails now,, I ordered a second incubator six days ago, and it hasnt arrived. So, I have nothing lined up to move the Seramas in to hatch.

Oh Lisa!

I left the school just after 5:00PM (arrived at 6:00AM) and nothing had changed since. There was the pip. And there seemed to be a push. And then there was stillness. Stillness lingered.

I am STILL HOPING that something is happening. And I am going to TRY to refrain from making the trip back to work before bed.

*sighs*

Two hatched! I came home from the shop to find one crawling about the hatching tray. I later went to take a look and another was there. Number 9 just pipped too! I have never seen quail this young in person! So tiny, so cute. I will get pics soon as they dry and fluff up.

Oh dear lord... I set a timer to come back inside to take the dried quail chicks out of the incubator... and there's two more pipping!!! What a way to spread it out!!! I don't know how much more of this my heart can handle!

Hehe that is cool! Sounds like you're having good luck too! Number 3 has half the top of it's egg cracked open! I got my well wishes going to you on those two other pips.

One or two more weeks for my geese!!! The Spring weather is here so the inside of their coop is soaking wet which means the eggs are getting warmth and humidity but should I be removing the soaked bedding (leaving them and the nest alone, of course!!!) and replacing that w/dry? Or is it natural for goslings to be born out in the wet???

jacca5, please don't give up. Get away from it a bit if you need to but do try again. I failed big time on my second hatch and kind of lost confidence but I reread the basics and am ready to do it again!! You can do it, too.
