Yay, Ace!!!! Woot! That would be enough to start a brood of your own! I wound up with 35... we lost 3 after hatching, one of which was blind and malformed... omphalitis (mushy chick) - cute in a homely way, but no eyes! Hubby did the deed for me... I couldn't do it. But I still have 35 beauties to start with, and my single pair has started laying, so I can hatch those, too!

Hehe thanks! I'm up to one half zipped with 16 pips now. Awww sorry to hear about that. I had my own malformed chick but couldn't kill him myself. Glad to hear you have so many little ones to work with! I have all my manchurians still and hoping in the next 4 weeks or so they will start laying as I hear they start laying by 6 weeks.

I still have a week to go before I see any pheasant pips. But candled them and they seem to be doing fine. I'm watching my birds closely and will have to hatch more bobwhites I have only 3 chicks left.​

I have one pip so far out of fourteen. They are ringneck pheasants. Today I think is day 25 for them.

Today is hatch day here....but it is verrrry quiet in the bator.

On Monday May 12th at 4:23pm my Toulouse Gosling hatched. She pipped the air sac on day 26, the shell on day 27 and hatched on day 28. She is a week old today and doing great. Im pretty sure that it is a female.

I also had Silver Sebrights, a mixed bantam chick, and a silkie chick hatch on sunday-tuesday of last week.

Last wednesday I put 13 Silver Sebright eggs, 6 mixed bantam eggs (they were like 3 weeks old) and 4 silkie eggs ( again they were like 3 weeks old) in the incubator. All the sebrights are fertile, 1 mixed bantam egg is fertile, and all the silkie eggs are fertile.

Day 19 here, with 36 Ameraucana eggs in the incubator. I filled the tray with water this morning and I heard a peep...yeah! Hopefully by this time tomorrow I will have chicks!
It's going to be a tough couple of days!

I was just about ready to give up on 7 marans I have in the incubator. Today is day 23 was set to throw them away and i saw a pip, now we have 2. These were the last ones in the lil giant before I got my 1588 and I do remember the temps being low. Wish me luck.
