Who is pipping and waiting right now??

:fl:fl:fl Day 19 here and a crack in the poor egg with the air cell out of place. The crack seems to be where the air cell was when I last looked at the end of day 18

Hoping he/she is okay!

LOL It was the biggest chick and I said it would probably be the one to go first.

AHHH the waiting is KILLING me!

The evening of the 20th day and I have 2 mutts hatched, 3 that have pipped and stick their little beaks out but REFUSE to go any further, and a bunch that have pipped but I haven't seen much movement since. Nothing yet with my 2 remaining d'Uccle eggs ..... the suspense is killing me!!!

Update on the marans on day 24. We have four babies and three more are zipping right now. I got up and knew I had 2 babies last night with one pip. I looked in the bator and decided to remove the chicks and there were 3 babies of fluff. We have two blues and either a silver or white maran. They were jumping all over the ones that were pipping and zipping. This is my best hatch if all goes well yet, bettter late than never. To think yesterday I was getting ready to toss them.

Here is my Goosie, I don't know what gender it is yet but we call it "him" He is an African Goose which I thought was appropriate since my husband visits Africa about once a year. He has brought me lots of gifts but never a goose. I bought 4 eggs off of e-bay but only one hatched. He is about 6 days old in the one picture and just hatching in the other. We are having so much fun with him and he is already spoiled rotten. I even took him to the office last friday! I carry him around in a little easter basket lined with grass and hay - he loves it! Thanks to Miss Prissy for walking me through my first goose and VampabillyPrincess for staying up all night watching our incubators together.

I'm on day 20 for some EE and a few other unidentified eggs. I bought a suprise hatch batch from e-bay. 24 eggs total from "Bird Farmers" I received 12 chicken eggs, 12 duck eggs and 4 turkey eggs. 3 chicken eggs and 1 duck egg arrived broken. I know I have at least 2 chicks because I can see movement. some of the brown eggs are really hard to candle. I'm down to 4 maybe ducks and 2 for sure ducks. 2 of the turkey's were not even furtile and the other 2 are still in the incubator but I really doubt they are viable. so hard to candle dark speckled eggles!

The girls are mad at me now, they are embarrassed to bring their beau's over because there are incubators and brooders all over the house!

Will keep you posted,
Their Other Mother
