Who is pipping and waiting right now??

I have one egg slightly open and another pip. I am so excited. I hope to get a few serama babies soon. Today is day 19, but I read that serama hatch early. Keep your fingers crossed.

Power outage - 5 hours and 35 minutes - Sportsman dipped to 85 degrees - hope it didn't kill them. Here is what is in there:

11 Welsummers - standard
7 Golden Sebrights
2 OEGB Blue Splash - bantam
6 Showgirls
6 Silkies
3 EE's - bantam
1 cochin - bantam
1 OEGB Self Blue

The Welsummers are due to stop turning Wed - the 18th. The rest are staggered after that.

I have Showgirl eggs (about 2 doz) coming tomorrow along with some silkies (6) then I am through hatching - unless I can get some Gold Laced Cochins..Or if my Belgin d'Anvers start laying.......sigh.

5 quail chicks and what I hope is the first of many araucana banties.

The score:

2 Gold Manchurians
1 Texas AM
1 Jumbo coturnix
1 possible Tuxedo quail (black coloring though not fully dry)

1 White or buff araucana (not dry enough to determine color or if tufted or clean faced)

Some good news with all the flooding. We are safe but our town lost most of the businesses downtown and water supply has been shut off. We have our own well so we aren't having to deal with that issue. Our issues are my Dad can't make the 25 min. drive to work. It took him 4 hours to get home Thursday and then those roads closed so he had to take another vacation day:( and I worry that I have 3 boxes of eggs in the mail since tuesday and weds. last week:( Poor eggs! The Postal Service has suspended mail service in parts of the state due to flooding:( Sad sad news for so many people losing everything they own and here I am worried about 3 boxes of eggs.

At least I have some pips today:) Please be ok and hatch great chickies. My fingers are crossed. Some chicks will make me feel a bit better with all this awful news going on for my entire state right now.
