them to death. but we lost one from spraddle legs and a ripped tendon, we tried to cure it but we couldn't

I have 4 Buff Orp's (one is really weak, I hope it makes it!!) and 5 Barred Rock's hatched, 1 BR Pipped and starting to zip, 1 Buff Orp egg doing nothing, and I did have 1 BR that pipped a good hole into the shell, about the size of a pencil eraser, I could see it's beak and everything that died after it had been pipped for 2-3 hours or so. So it is looking like my total count will be 4 Buff Orp's and 6 Barred Rocks!! This is the best hatch I have ever had!!!

I'm done. I ended up with 3 Buff Orp's and 6 Barred Rocks, that are the cutest, most curious little things. I stick my hand in the brooder and there is one in particular that just comes running to my hand. They are SOOOOO Cute!! I will post pic's tomorrow.

Sadly, my little Buff that was weak, didn't make it, but I do have 9 very healthy darling chicks!!!

Congrats Steff! Today was day 19 and I got my first pip from my very own egg. Tina's are taking their own sweet time, lol. But since the pip I haven't heard a single chirping noise, not even when I whistle or tap on the bator top. I'm hoping the baby makes it. I did open the bator and just pop off the bit of shell the baby had broken to expose the tiny hole in the membrane (shouldn't he/she have popped through the membrane into the air pocket first?) Anyway, I just wanted to make sure the air was available, so we'll see if anything else happens. I know it can take 2, even 3 days for the chick to hatch, so I'll try and be patient while the others get into position and start pipping. I hope I wake up to some peeping in the morning!
