Who is pipping and waiting right now??

My humidity is about that and so far mine are hatching out just fine. I had it up to around 70% but started to have condensation on the plastic windows so dropped it back a bit.

My little egg is pipping! Going pretty fast this morning! Can't wait! Yippee! Poor little thing...sole survivor!

My broody hen hatched another one yesterday, it looked like it was a BO cross. It didin't make it though. She still has about 6 eggs under her to go yet. I take my turner out on Saturday night, and increase the humidity and wait for pips.

When I got home last night I had two pips. This morning I have one pretty little cubalaya chick, the other pipped egg hadn't altered any. I had to go to work so hopefully

I'll at least have one more baby. This is day 21, the other eggs that haven't pipped I candled (I opened the 'bator, I know... I know...

). One I removed because there was no way it was developed. Another one looked like the egg was put in upside down (air cell was in the small end, so I laid it down with the air cell up. I had three others that may potentially hatch. I couldn't catch any movement, but I could see that the veining was still there in the space between the air cell and the black blob (baby chick).

Yay, I wait some more! If the pip hasn't progressed, I'll probably help it tonight because more than likely I didn't have my humidity high enough *again* and it's stuck.

I still have 12 silky eggs being lazy. One pip since yesterday morning. I did check them and them and they are all still moving around in the shells. I thinkg the varience in tempratures has them backsliding. I hope they get going a little bit faster. Tehe!
