Well day 19 is over for my blue bantam orpingtons. Hopefully I will have babies soon!

I just watched a strong little Bobwhite hatch... a day early!

Two more in there, due very soon...

Well, I had 3 blue bantam orpingtons hatch and the fourth was upside down in the shell. I tried to get it out when I realized it was still alive but I could not get it out quick enough because I was trying to be careful and not make it bleed. It was perfect. One of the other three was not, it was very deformed. Its beak was very crossed and the side of it's head was dented in an there was no eye on that side. I had to put it down. It was a real fighter too. But it could not have lived like that. I took pics but have to get them uploaded. The two remaining ones are under a broody. I swapped the babies for the duck eggs she was on. I would rather them have a real mom to show them the way. I put the duck eggs into an extra incubator to see how they do. I will post pics as soon as I can.

ya me and my mom A.K.A a2ms4chickens had 2 broody hens and we got 12 out of 16 chicks then we are about to lose one its not eating or drinking and it had spraddle-leg we are trying our best to save it and we have one MGB sitting to two eggs so hopefully they hatch well

One of my last 3 eggs has pipped and it's day 23 here!

Im on day 25 for 2 gray call duck eggs, they have pipped through the air sac. Call Ducks are very hard to hatch, so if there is no external pip by morning I will make a pip so they can breath. They have round heads and short beaks so many die after pipping the air sac.

Day 17 here- they go in the hatching tray tomorrow!

Just popped 40 assorted colored coturnix eggs into the incubator. I really hate having to wait two weeks to see these babies!
