Who is pipping and waiting right now??

Well. I have two pips and two with their heads out- and the one pipped the wrong end and has a pointy head like the bottom of the egg

I just got my Maternity leave request back. She put "Company Policy only allows Mom/Dad to take the 1st 20 hours after hatching" To say the least they office had a great laugh this morning.

I had to look! I have 5 out, one zipped, and 5 pipped! Plus a little itty bitty OEGB blue splash out! I am beside myself!!!!!

I was nothing but gloom and doom yesterday - just knew it was another bummer of shipped eggs..........joy, joy, joy, babies!!!!!!

I am grinning from ear to ear this morning... 8 Coturnix (including one golden) have hatched from SamG347's eggs and just about all the rest are wiggling or pipping. AND... drumroll, please?....

My VERY FIRST purebreed Mille Fleur babies, from my OWN CHICKENS, are hatching under their mommas as I type this. So far I have been hatching everyone else's chicken eggs, other than my own mutts, so this is the very first hatch of my new breeder program!

5 hatched, 1 near explosion, and 2 nothing so far. Will hold for another day to make sure and discad. 5 out of 8 not so bad for a weak roo. Last roo of 3 and the bottom of the pecking order. Other 2 lost to marading dogs and local coyotes. 5 in the brooder doing well.
