I'm still not sure how to put pictures on here so here is a link to the little one that hatched today. There was supposed to be three but the other two didn't make it. It is a cross from an Ameraucana roo and a Dark Brahma hen.
Wilma's babies hatched today. It's day 20. Is that unusual? The first hatched out last night about 10pm (day 19). She had eight out of ten with one pipping by 1pm. The last is not good, I think. I'll check when I go out to feed in ten minutes. How long should I let the last egg stay seeing as the others hatched in such a short time? Thanks
All the babies look good. Nine out of the ten hatched. The last egg sort of sloshes when I pick it up. Wilma is still sitting on it. She has water and chick food within reach and has already called the chicks to eat and drink. I'll leave the egg until morning and see how it is then.
