I so want to make those new roles that Katy/Miss P wrote about. Have no excuse as we are all trying to eat well. Maybe I could justify it if I use whole wheat flour?

My husband made chicken etouffee' last night ... I believe it was based on a shrimp etoufee' recipe that he got out of a Chef Paul Prudhome cookbook, but he threw it together from memory. I'll have to see if I can find the recipe if someone wants it. I made rice, and we just put it all in a big bowl and enjoyed it's spiciness and warmth.

we are iced in here in central oklahoma but my electric is still on and with all my crew stuck in the house it's always a good excuse to cook..so the house smells great we've got brownies in the oven, chicken out ready to fry, potatoes already peeled for mashed potatoes and another chicken in the stew pot for homemade chicken and dumplings... garden greenbeans with lots of bacon and onions cooking on the back burner .. and these will be homemade rolled flat dumplings not baking powder type.. and after seeing the pound cake recipe i think i'll start that because there is a 1/2 bottle of homemade applejack in the cabinet.. sounds like a good way to put part of it to use.. oops brownies coming out now.. everyone stay safe in this weather...
