One of the two survivors of a clutch of 14 eggs. Trying to help repeat figure out who he or she is ? Very sweet temper and lays down when being pet. About 12 to 15 weeks in age .

Are you asking gender or breed or both?
I suspect he is a boy, though at this age comb can be deceiving. Can you post a clear side view of Reptar standing up in natural lighting? Trying to see the saddle feathers at the base of the tail. 😊

I will try to get more pictures later today . Yes if possible I am asking both gender and breed. I am suspecting boy also . Mostly interested in the breed .

I will wait for more photos. 😊
Though based on what I can see, I am unable to identify a specific breed. He is likely a mixed breed. Where did you get the hatching eggs? Do you have any idea of the possible parents?

Mixed breed.

The color/pattern is very cockerel-like. However, not knowing the exact age makes me hesitant. Every single week is extremely significant with sexing chickens. If this chick is 12 weeks, it is a cockerel. If it is 15 weeks, I am perplexed and would tentatively say pullet.

I personally think it is at the lower end of that age range and is a cockerel. Maybe update us in a few weeks.
