Who is the owner of the dog?

Good to know people take the time to read what I said before attacking me. I never said anything about the bible saying not to. I said I would not put that in my body cause of my religion, what the bible says. I also said I do not do things to my dogs that I am not willing to do to my self. If you don't agree with me that's fine. Insults are not.

You said:

The micro chip implant thing is a big thing to Christians. This thread is not about my religion or how you think I should practice it.

You didn't limit that statement to dogs and you said that the 'implant thing' a 'big thing' with Christians. What you said in that first sentence is obviously not true and, by all sensible standards, illogical. You made a statement about your religion, something no-one else raised, and, in the same sentence, attempted to stop people responding in like fashion. Come on, chap, be reasonable.

Thankfully here in Northern Ireland it is LAW to microchip so there are no excuses not to take responsibility for the ownership of your Dog! It is sad that you feel the way you do because Microchipping is a very good and possitive method of tracing ownership and responsibility for pets. Personally I cannot see any reason not to do this unless one would want to avoid ownership responsibility?

Why would I need too. I live in the mountains. Everyone around knows my dogs. They are in a fence that is inside a fenced property. They are tagged, no it cant come off without a humans help.

Because some folks live where dog nappers shop.
I chip my dogs because if someone were to take them i would know at least i have a chance of getting them back if they were taken to the pound or vet and i live in the middle of 100 acres with 1000's of acres around it, you just never know who will just up and take your dog, either because they ike it or haul it off cause they don't.
Had a neighbor hall another neighbors dog off after it was chasing it's cows, guy got his dog back because it was chipped, but lost it to a bullet cause it chase his neighbors cows again, funny thing was they dog never chased the cows that he lived with.

To Rebelcowboysnb.

I am sorry, I really don't mean to cause you any trouble or embarrassment. I am genuinely interested to know any religious reason why someone would not want to microchip their pet, that's all. You still have not said why. If you don't want to say just tell me you would rather not say.

I am able to tolerate a wide range of religious beliefs and find them fasitanentiang. I love all the different customs and belief's of our planet and different cultures.

Please don't feel you have to explain you statement to me, but I am sorry you made it if you can't actually be bothered to explain you point of view.

You are very lucky to live in the mountains, but if you lived in a busy city would you then consider to microchip you dog?

I lost my beloved dog many years ago and I regret every day that I did not microchip him. I often remember him and am sad and worried about how he is living now without me.

I did some research on the net and found out that some literal Christians believe that giving a microchip will be giving the mark of the devil to the dog. Any mark on an animal will be the mark of the devil like 666. I feel sorry for people who believe this. They must live their life in fear and stress thinking about all the branded and tagged cows being the devil's minions coming to get them.

Skiped some of my posts there bud but nice try.

You might change your mind and consider a microchip ```if you had someone take your dog (right in front of witnesses) out of your yard, and sadly knowing that most likely that your dog became a bait or fighting dog, like mine most likely did. I have long regretted not microchipping that dog because if by some chance he was dumped or escaped he and I might have been re-united. Or if I had seen the thieves with him, the microchip would prove my ownership. Either way, if he had been chipped, I would have stood some chance at getting my dog back. All of my dogs are chipped now. And tattooed to indicate that they are spayed and no good for breeding. In fact, to me a microchip in a dog is no different from a tattoo, it's a mark of ownership, and I will do everything I can to protect my property, be it a microchip or a tattoo, or writing my name on a cooler at a camp-out.

I am a christian and I MICROCHIPPED ALL MY DOGS!!!!!!!!! There is NOTHING in scripture that says DO NOT MICROCHIP YOUR DOG!!!!!!!! Please don;t insult Christianity by using it to justify your ignorance over the good a microchip can do for your dog. This is not about what is good for you - it is about what is best FOR YOUR DOG!!!!!

Oes

There's no need to be so nasty rude...

I can't believe the comments on that site defending her actions. One user said he wasn't fit because he looked thug.  Wow the ignorance on that website is unbearable.

He DOES look like a thug...he probably did blow drug smoke in the dogs face

Now I don't know which side I'm on....lol

He has tattoos on his arm and that's enough for you to say he probably abused his dog? Come on, let's try to be reasonable.
