Who is upset about this Raw Milk issue?

This has nothing to do with liberals or conservatives. This is completely an issue of big business. A huge percent of the people protesting the raid at Rawsome were liberals. Most of the people who belong to Rawsome are liberals. The government trying to keep people from consuming raw milk has nothing to do with liberal or conservative values. Big agri-business is behind the push to keep us from having access to raw milk. The FDA, USDA, and other government entities have long been controlled by big business as they have been appointed by Democrats and Republicans alike.

I love Louis Pasteur! Big fan!! I am NOT a big fan of gastric issues! LOL!

I spent the first 6 years of my life on my grandfathers dairy farm in Stoughton, Wisconsin (where my Mom and aunt were raised). Raw milk was readily available, but we kids were provided pasteurized milk when we were little. My Mom said she didn't want to take chances with our health.

I think it's fine to provide your own milk to yourself. Each person can make his/her own choice. I'm a little troubled by parents giving it to their kids because the kids are not able to make a choice....but if parents are willing to accept the possible gastric consequences, well *shrug*.

Here in Florida, you can purchase it, but are required to sign that you understand it is for animal consumption only. It can get you in a heap of trouble if your found buying it and giving it to your kids.

I'm conflicted about the need for a law. I don't need laws to tell me it's not a safe way to consume milk, but maybe some do.

I agree on most, the people's house concept was a good one but it doesn't work that way any more.
The People's House is OWNED but not by the people. They no longer represent anyone but big business and their unlimited contributions thanks to the new Supreme Court.

The list of 'representatives' who aren't in the pocket of big business is indeed quite small.
Many regulations, i.e. controls on real food, favor big 'food' producers.

They will never tell me what I can and can not eat or drink. Even if It has to go underground. America is turning into a communist country and that makes me sad.

The reason why the government is doing this, is because what it takes away Small Farm. And Big Farm wins. This leads to Government control. In short; unconstitutional!

Raw milk is perfectly safe when you feed your cows what they are suppose to eat. Grass. Back in the day when they sold raw milk from cows being fed distillers grains and living in filth being milked by filthy sick workers. You bet people would get sick. So they figured out a way to continue to sell cheap milk to the public. Cook the milk. Cooking kills the good with the bad.
Cows aren't meant to eat grain. It messes up the balance in their rumens, making it more acidic. This changes the milk as well, the good stuff can't survive, but the bad will thrive. Grass fed cows will produce milk that is healthy and full of good bacteria, which kills bad bacteria. I drink raw milk from grass fed cows,
I can leave a glass of raw milk out and it doesnt stink when it "goes bad" it smells like yeast bread dough. Pasturized milk on the other hand, turns nasty!!! Read up on it. Check out the weston a price foundation. Dont just buy your raw milk from anywhere. Know where it comes from and how the cows are fed.

Oh and there is no way in hell they will tell me what I can and can't feed my family. Control the food control the population. I don't trust government. I could go into a big time rant on this topic......GMO' s......grrrrr....

What's good for the goose is not necessarily good for the gander.

Start whittling away at one right (allowing ONLY Big Brother and corporate farms to decide what should be on your breakfast, lunch, or dinner table) and more just like them will quickly follow in their footsteps. Soon, the only thing you'll be allowed to feed your family is all the processed, chemical laden crap products already on the markets and real food will be something you'll remember as a grandparent talking to your grandkids about the "good ol' days".

I, for one, do not think it's anyone's business. People who drink raw milk already know the possible risks. Finding a raw milk source in our area is extremely difficult... (I've looked)

But for those who think there are no inherent risks with the processed gallons of milk or other foods on those store shelves are just showing naivety. Notice all the recalls in the news lately? Including the [alleged] "safe" pasteurized dairy plants (several since the beginning of September 2011) for milk and cheese products. Those were all from the FDA inspected and approved corporate farms and process plants. If it weren't so darn serious, it'd be laughable....
