CB, don't send me into heart failure! Just kidding, I know you did a great job packing!

I am sorry mommy duckie only had 1 baby survive, but at least one made it! Here's hoping she'll accept the the others that hatch!

Well I am going to put the other babies out in the pen and see if she comes to them and accepts them. If not, with them being in the pen at least I will not have to try and catch them.

I told you they were snug.

Could not get any safer than that. Let me know how they are in 7 days after you candle. They are hard to tell before then, I think it is because they are brown.

Hatching vibes coming your way.

Good luck. They should be fine considering it has only been 4 and 5 days and the weather is not to hot or cold.

Let them sit point down until tomorrow morning and then stick them in the incubator.

Here is the website I use for incubating, but if I have a mix of eggs in, I compromise with the temperature. It usually works for me, unless I am having incubator complications.

UPDATE:
Well the 2 eggs I took from Mommy duck hatch a couple days ago. I was really feeling bad for her that she lost so many babies, so I took one out to her. She was so excited hearing the little one chirp when I was carrying it. She accepted it with out a problem, so I took her the 2nd one also. You talk about a happy mommy, she now has 3 and is protecting all of them. The 2 I took to her were not following at first, so she went back and got them.

Now all is well, I think she did not realize they were older, she just knew some of hers were missing and now they are found.

There is always a happy ending somewhere, I am just glad I could give her one, even if she is a duck. Now I just hope she can keep them safe.

I bought eggs before I found out I get to have a 1400$ root canal. (sigh) So my consolation for selling 2/3 of what I have on the ground to help pay for it is going to be GCM BCM and Wheaten Marans eggs.... oh yay. They should be here tomorrow....

Well, I will get some ready to hatch with you. I think I am going to the co-op tomorrow and purchasing another incubator to use as a hatcher. Then I can put ones starting their 3 days in and do not have to worry about anything.

Let me know when you are putting them in. I need to hatch a batch, or 2, or 3, or 4 of mine to make up for the 10 I lost.

I bought a second bator for that exact reason. Works reasonably well. I need to buy a fan kit for the 2nd bator. I love the windows!!

ETA: I set 13 guinea eggs and 2 peafowl eggs this morning!

2 peafowl eggs? How exciting. My first is set to hatch on the 14th and the little one is moving all over the place.

The incubator I am using does not have a fan, but I just bought a fan for $10 from the co-op that I will be putting in the new incubator.

I think I have a Blue Andalusian egg with twins, it looks like a set of eyes in 2 different areas in the egg. Not sure what to do about that one. I have read that some people have been able to hatch them successfully, just hope I can.

3 days to go for pheasants
5 days for guineas and ducks

Luck to you all!!! Mine should arrive today, rest until tomorrow and go in late that day. Means a weekend hatch date but what the he**.

Of course these are nail biter eggs but you gotta take the chance again sometime.

Well I hope yours make it, all but 2 BLCM and 1 SZ and my 11 BA have made it so far. Lost 2 BCM and 1 SZ somewhere between the 2 checks. Life of shipped eggs.

Hatching vibes coming everyones way.

First pip and I will be on here jumping for joy. I know there are a couple 4, 5 or 6 that I may have to help. They look shrink wrapped when I candled, but fingers crossed.
