I was talking to a local poultry guy who won't set eggs after the first week of June. Says hatches and brooding just go wrong too often.
And you never know about genetics, some hen or duck really could have genes that screw up chicks in eggs.
I feel better really that the wheaten never would have made it, nothing you can do about guts outside, that just happens or it doesn't. Now if all the other eggs from the breeder do that I'll
