All 3 of my ducks have hatched (with a little intervention for the backward babies) and are they are doing great.

Yay CB!!!! I'm glad the little duckies are doing good. How are the RGPs?

I was running late this morning and in such a twirl, I forgot to run downstairs and check on the bator.

I won't be home until late tonight. I am a little nervous!!!! What if something has pipped, or having trouble hatching. I shoud be there to watch!!!! Maybe I'll just have to take a half day off work today just to go check!

Well I guess i didnt kill them after all, had my first pep last night and he hatched this morning and i have another one that is rocking n rolling he may be out by the time i get home from work. New bee question how long does he have to stay in and how long does it take for him to stand up straight.

He can stay in 24 to 48 hours after hatching. He/She'll stand up just fine.

What kind are these Casey? Little bugger sure is cute!

You're gonna have to update us how many more you have when you get home!

If I don't have any pips or babies by the time I get home tonight, guess what is coming to work with me tomorrow?!? Yup, I'm bringing the bator just so I can keep an eye on things!!!!

I knew it would happen eventually, either before they hatched or after, they are adorable and I handle him often. I want him to be friendlier than his parents and not scared of people. I cannot wait for the others to hatch. This one is going to my friend, who has been trying to hatch some with me, but we have been failing up until now.

Cassey, we need a better picture than that, so you need to post a dry one.

You can take him out after he is dry, unless you are like me and have to many eggs in the incubator and have to remove the chicks when they are 1/2 dry. Just make sure you have a brooder with a heat lamp ready.

Update: My peachick picks on anything smaller than him, but he is so adorable. I caught him dragging the day old around the brooder box. So I had to remove the day old and put it in with the ones that are a week old.

I had a chick hatch that was due on the 4th and I have another due on the 4th hatching now. Not 1 that is due on the 3rd has even started. I am really excited about the silkie due on the 3rd since my silkie hen disappeared.

I think I mentioned that out of 3 duck eggs I had 2 backward again. All 3 are doing great, eating, drinking and making a mess with the water.

I'm beginning to get just a little worried now!!!!!!!

Today is supposed to be hatch day!!!! No pips, no nothing!!!!!

Out of my 13 guinea eggs, I had 7 develop which I thought was pretty good for shipped eggs.

Both my pea eggs developed.

I think I want to cry!!!!
