Who is with me?

OH my God they're here and one was broken, of course it would be GCM. I patched it but no way that is working shy of a miracle, it was pretty broke. I've set it aside to set and the others are in their carton resting. I couldn't find my glue so I used epoxy plumbers putty. LOL.

That stuff is almost as useful as duct tape. Wow, marans eggs are gorgeous. These were well packed, just another postal punt. At least it was only one. A box full of broken eggs would not be pleasant.

Well I did it, I bought the extra incubator and I am now trying to get the temp and humidity where it should be for hatching. Hope it hurries, I would like to get the Pheasants in it tonight, tomorrow is the 5th and they are due to hatch around the 7th, althhough someone else said it could take up to 28 days (I hope not, I do not think I could stand this for 8 more days or so).

I did not add the fan, I do not want to screw things up, so I will add that for next year. I have to many eggs at staggered times to worry about the fan right now.

Good thing I have all of you to keep me busy, along with all of the animals.

I woke up this morning and 3 of my seramas had pipped.
ep.gif

They're not due until Saturday or Sunday.

I brought my hatcher and the 8 serama eggs to work with me today so I can keep a close eye on them.

What else is a girl to do????

hatching vibes for the RGP!!!! I can't wait to see pics of them as babies.

The patch didn't work it was tooooooo broken, candle wax wouldn't have done. So that one is a loss but that's the price of shipping. I still have some gorgeous eggs going into the bator today. Laura took one look at the eggs and went

I just won't tell her what I spent.

I don't care if I just get one Roo out of the lot, it'll be a nice treat given how much selling off everything else is going to make me grim.

Thanks for the wishes.

Go Seramas you early little buggers.

First, I think Serama eggs can hatch at 19 days. As for the other statement, I am not shocked. First, you take 1 baby to work with you, so I guess they were not surprised seeing 3.

Walkswithdog, my Shepherd knocked my peafowl out of my hand thinking it was a ball. I have scotch tape all over it, it did not bust, but has small cracks everywhere.

2 days to go for my RGP.

I can not wait to check my peafowl egg in a couple more days also. I saw what looked to be a fertile circle, but not sure, it could just be going bad.

Hatching vibes to all.

Damn that does sound like a ball driven shepherd... LOL I had one like that. Hope tape works!!! I'm so sorry but that sounds so darn familiar...

I had one, that knew I loved my Toy ( a nice Rebel Eos, camera) and she loved water and I, by extension, must also love water (and we did play in water a lot -she shoulda been a labrador) so one day she took MY beloved toy and dunked it in her favorite dunky toy water dish. And then proudly brought me the soaking wet camera and case....The camera did not survive dunky toy.

Good luck with the RGP! May your egg have more luck than my camera!

Hugs to all hatchers! Go Fuzzies!!!

No CB, you don't understand...... I have 8 serama eggs...... I took the hatcher and all 8 eggies with me!!!!!!!! The chickies were relatively quiet today! Only 2 1/2 hatched out while I was at work!

My family and I are going on vacation this coming Monday. I have a co-worker that is not a BYCer but is a crazy chicken woman. I took my hatcher to her to "chicken-sit" while I am gone. I knew my eggs were going to be close to the time we were leaving and I wanted a reliable person to watch over them.

My parents are coming over to my house every day to feed / water the outside chickens and to check on and feed / water the indoor babies. They will also keep an eye on the bator.

It's great to know I can go away on vacation and not have to worry about the future babies.

The egg was not seeping, but it has hair line cracks from one end to the other, so it is scotch taped. I figure either it works or it doesn't, but may as well try. I have used scotch tape on chicken eggs and duck egg with success, but never the whole roll.

I am not very happy right now, hubby bought a grapple for his Bobcat, but will not let me buy some eggs. Just joking.

Hubby bought a grapple and nicely ask me if I would go with him to pick it up, of course I said yes, thinking somewhere in Missouri. Well the grapple is in Indiana.
ep.gif
Now I have RGP eggs starting to hatch and he wants me to go to Indiana.
smack.gif
So I the brains of the relationship and knowing my babies will be here between tomorrow and Sunday, decided we will leave tonight, pick up the grapple when the company opens at 8am and be back home by 3pm. This way we can get a room and some sleep instead of driving round trip and I will be home in plenty of time if the babies come a little early.

Gotta go, leaving in about 15 minutes. Don't have to much fun without me.

Well we made it back, it is now almost 10pm. I got everyone fed and came in and rolled my one batch of eggs and checked the others. The temp was up to 103
ep.gif
, but I guess that was not to bad. I took out some eggs and checked them, still alive and 10 out of 11 RGP have pipped

Guineas are pecking. There was nothing from the duck, but still time, not actually due until the 9th. If there is nothing from the 2 tomorrow I will candle and then open to see if there is a chance of life, so I should have some little ones running around come morning I think.
