I have converted my husband too! He even built them a little duck house and is thinking of ways to improve it.

I had ducks years ago..and swore I would not have any more...WELLLLL since I have become a BYC member I have been going to the duck site and seeing all those pretty babies and the muscovies and I am hooked, so with that being said last fall I brought a muscovy drake and hen...then I was talking to a customer of mine and they gave me two hens..now 2 of the hens have hatched babies and one has 23 and one has 13 and one is on the nest, she is due to hatch out this month..along the way I collected 4 pekin and 5 baby mallards the week before Easter..I can NOT imagine having ducks now... I LOVE THEM..

I am having a hard time believing how much I am addicted as well. The whole household stops when I get home from work for "Doodle time", which is when we let them out. I am obsessed!

LOL.... same here.

Last night when I got home for work I pulled into the driveway and saw my husband laying in the grass watching the ducklings.

They had already gone for a swim and were resting after all the hard playtime.

I am so addicted, too! I agree that it's hard to believe how quickly they wrap us around their little... uhm... feathers?

Mine are such sweethearts and SO DIFFERENT from my chickens. I am just in love.

Y'all are like a support group for duck addicts!

I'm in love as well.

Happy duck story for ya.

When I decided to get ducks the guy I was with at the time said he would leave if I got ducks. Well he left. Thank goodness he did.
Two months ago I started dating a friend of 8 years, he's in love with my ducks. Long story short, we were informed that Pheobe may be not be a girl duck afterall. First thing he says is "Awesome, we could raise ducklings and they could live on my pond!"

I love a happy ending.
