I'm trying to build up my flock to produce a nice 'rainbow' egg box selection
so far i have the sussex who lay nice bright white eggs (i thiink its sussex?)
i have the marans for the deep reddish brown eggs
i have the araucana x ee's for the blue green eggs
i have australops and amrocks who give me eggs somewhere between a pinkish brown, normal 'egg' colour to a lighter creamy brown colour
i also have some brown 'layers' who give me speckled eggs

what am i missing? i believe there is something out there that gives a lovely pinkish egg? and someone else gives olive green eggs?

    who are my missing chickens??

There is a notation by each breed in the breed index of this site, as to egg color to expect. You should realize, though, that there are many crosses out there which can result in unexpected egg color, and hatcheries sometimes have diluted gene pools that result in variances.

Salmon Favarolles (sp?) are supposed to lay pink and EE can lay olive eggs.
