Are you saying that EE males don't have eye liner? Is it a reasonable indicator? I need to go check the brooder for eyeliner!
Oh dear! I think that means we picked out three cockrels and one pullet! Darn!Not just EE's, most of the wild pattern coloration chicks I have raised will have some eyeliner. But a female will have a complete liner around the eye whereas a male will only have a little eyeliner. And a female will have a more definite patch of dark color outlined in black on top of her head. This is just an observation I have made from raising hundreds of chicks.![]()
In just the last couple days her tail has become more pronounced. She's so vocal and she trills. My cat is very upset that he can't eat her.
In about 4 weeks I would like to put her in my aviary with my quail, but I keep reading that its a bad idea. I don't want her isolated. Any thoughts?
