7L, you did what you did and that's that. if he come back you will know the next time and if he doesn't....well you did good. You can't kill everything you see at everytime like you said. After all, afterwhile they will only be seen in zoos.

I grew up hunting. I have seen the blood lust and I have also come to understand the urge to let the animal go a long way from my property. Personally, I have no problem killing if it needs to be done. However, I commend you for respecting the animal and giving it a second chance. Kill it later if you need to, in the meantime I support what you did.

Not sure in your State , but alot of states its illegal to relocate predators. Big reason is the spread of disease, you may have done more harm to the fox or other wildlife. If you didn't want to kill the foxs , at least call the State DNR.


Happen here , spread of rabies across the state, from people relocating racoons.


For a fact very wrong thing to do......fox are well know carriers of Rabies. Distemper is another they spread.


Sometime what looks like you save one animal life, you could have killed many more...........

To late for you , but hope others will learn from your mistake.
