I'm just getting into showing. I hope to do conformation with Singe. This weekend will be his first Rally match as well. Right at his 6month bday, so it should be interesting to say the least.

He's a working line (Czech) dog, so I'm really doing it just for fun and to show off the alternative to the showline dogs everyone is used to seeing.

I've always wanted to show my dachshund Angel, unfortunately she's been fixed. Plus she doesn't have that pedigree paper.. But I know she's a pure doxie!
I have a question for you expirenced breeders... How much would a miniature dachsund puppy be sold for with papers? I mean the common price. When Angel had pups and we were selling them $200 for boys and $250 for girls, I got some kinda complaint from some stanger. He said "im not paying that much without papers". I've seen champion blood labs go for $1000... Higher than that on chihuahuas and yorkies.

Also just in case you are confused, a DQ is a disqualification, and yes some dogs can have disqualifications on them.

Most places that sell there dogs in the 200 range, either are just looking to have a cute litter for the kids or them selves but cant or don't want to keep the puppies, or they think there is money to be made in breeding dogs and then end up as "backyard breeders". Most of the time it starts off as the first, and then because of a greedy husband or something they end up as the second, my fiancée got a good reality slap after he experienced his first litter XD Its not cheep.
As a breeder my self I would have been very leery placing my dogs, papers or not, with a person that just wants to run of with one for free or extremely cheep. Its just like adopting a child, its not free, and its not cheep.
She sounds like a lovely dog though, you will have to post pictures!

I am getting an Anatolian shepherd in August. His sire is a Grand Champion so I have pretty high hopes for him. I will do conformation with him and probably Rally. I may do obedience while he is young mostly for the socialization because once Anatolians get older, obedience is not high on their list of priorities.

His big fault is that he has gone a little "easty-westyad on h is front feet the last couple weeks. Pretty positive that he will grow out of it. I'm a member of my local all-breed kennel club and one of our members used to be in shepherds. She thinks he will do very well.

Last week in rally practice he decided it would do fun to pounce on all the station signs lol
He's a good smart boy. Well, once you tire him out a little bit. We'll see how sat goes. It's more for practice than anything else

Sorry, im a little bad, i tend to rattle off info to people like there new to everything XD
Station signs? So your showing in obedience or rally?
Or is that a training method for the confirmation ring?

The station signs are for rally practice. We are also doing conformation training. His biggest downfall is the standing still part. Lol

In May I was able to attend a Pat Trotter seminar. OMG I loved it.
