Who shut the little hatch door on coops these cold nights?

i shut mine every night..just in case something can break into my run..they will have a real hard time getting to them in the coop also..

I didn't use to shut my run gate or my pop door until something (a preditor) got one of my birds. Now I close both every night.

I shut mine too, but for predator protection like others more than anything else. But it does help keep out the drafts as a plus

I don't even have pop doors.

I lock them in at night and let them out in the a.m. using the full size doors.

Sounds like I'm in the minority here... I do have a pop door but don't close it. I let the chickens and ducks decide when they want in or out. I'm usually still in bed when they decide they want to be in the run

, and they're great about going into the coop at night on their own.

I'mwith ya, ChanceRider, I leave mine open also. They come and go as they please.

I never leave the pop door open at roost time, summer or winter. We have way too many predators here.

Closed every night. I'm too afraid of the nighttime predators. Plus it helps keep them warmer overnight.

If I don't close every door tight, Babette the duck quacks hysterically until I do!

I close it and lock it every night. We have way too many raccoons that make the rounds every night hoping we'll slip up.
