He watches them all the time but wouldn't go near them until I herded them all into the duck house when it was raining then he stood in the back in shock.

Do they all get along? What color eggs do your hens lay? Love your photos!! Here is our two Swedish babies.. Our whole family loves them.. More than our chicken's

I have no idea what color eggs they lay. Mama Duck is raising her babies still Cocoa, Tika, and No Name who my husband has been told he has to name and so isn't laying again yet.

So I have been reading up on ducks and seen all the problems people are having getting them into their beds at night.
Last night we herded the new ducks into their new house and closed it up then let them loose again this morning.
Today it was raining and they wanted to hide under my son's Exersaucer.
Which would have been fine except he was in it at the time...
I started trying to herd them into their house instead...it was not happening, because Howard kept joining the group to try and protect them and then chickening out and taking off in the wrong direction and they all followed after him.
I finally managed to herd them inside and left the door open and they all layed down with a shocked and slightly afraid Howard trapped in a back corner scared to shove past the babies to get out. They had come out when the rain lightened up and were running around and not being quite so mean to Howard when we left to go out for the night.
It was dark when we got home and we went to check that all the chickens were in their beds and to herd the ducks into their new bed. Mama, Cocoa, Tika and No Name into their's and Howard all alone in his sincebhenis terrified of the other ducks at the same time as he loves them and wants to be with them.
Imagine our surprise to find Mama, Cocoa, Tika and No Name in a duck pile in their new home already! And you will never guess who was in the duck house just inches from the muscoveys pile?
