I had to go lay down to get my mind off running in there. Good luck to everyone eles! I am sitting on my hands and going to bed soon. I will be up bright and early to run to the incubator as soon as my eyes open..LOL

I've got a week more to go with my silkies, 13 eggs total and I'm going crazy! For one thing, they are incubated stock and will probably give up. However, I'm really looking forward to seeing If I've got dominant white or recesisve white. I'm biting my HAIR now lol

Drumstick diva- excellent remedy for nibbling nails:

Spend some time with the chooks
Walk barefoot around their favourite play areas and greet by name
Dustbathe a little in their favouritve mulch patch
Massage your feet into the lovely wet grass the sleep on each night

Then come back inside and tell me if ya STILL want to bite them

p.s this does not work if you like the taste of bird poop

I am soooo glad to have found a group of people as crazy as I am about their chickens! (and all the other animals we have) You guys are GREAT! And yes, this is my first batch with my new bator and I have already chewed my nails down to the knuckle.
