Cutting the opening was a bear but that was mostly because my husbands drimmel is a piece of junk! If you have a good working tool like the drimmel it would be no problem. The rest was a piece of cake! The fridge it's self is insilated. When it came to the window I cut the piece of plexiglass in half and attatched one side to the outside and one to the inside so it's dubble panned. I didn't insulate around the window to allow for air flow. It's holding temps and humidity PERFECTLY!! It can be a bit of a pain to get looking pretty (especially since we had to use a hammer and chisel to cut out the window) but I'll be danged if it doesn't do a heck of a job. I have to hand turn but it get's it temps and what not back up quick with out spikes.
