Have been moving them under a hen as they hatch each night.

Woo-hoo! Just candled my eggs and 7 out of 8 are going strong! The other one was clear which doesn't surprise me too much. The mom is a tiny banty mix and the dad would have been my 9 pound Marans roo. I know they say nature always finds a way, but maybe this time it's for the best that it didn't.

ok so in the last week all my eggs but two dies but they were all from one pair except a bantam egg that was older so not sure if that was a coincidence anyway my two aussie eggs are still doing good and today starts lockdown for one of them the other isnt set to hatch for another week so it sucks that only one set to hatch alone but neway seems to bea recurring thing with me almost want to give up even though i have four more eggs and no broody hens

lol decisions, decisions, hope all yalls are doing well will post if i get a baby this weekend.

I have chicks!!! At least 2 have hatched so far. I only know this because mama pushed the empty shells out from under her!!!!!

I can't wait till they are all dried off and she'll let me see them!!!!!!!!

Squee!!! 4 have hatched and 2 more have pipped! I think I keep pissing off the mama because I can't stop looking underneath her.

Ok, 6 have hatched and the 7th doesn't look like it's doing anything but I'll leave it alone for a few more days. I'm going to go steal the babies in a few minutes so I can take pictures. They are so cute!!
