Usually from Murray McMurray, but I also rescue them from people that either have a predator problem or can't afford to keep them anymore. And my broodies are constantly hatching new chicks....

Ummm, well, our closest neighbor is a mile away. Their name's are Annie and John and they're soooooo nice. I only wanted $2 a dozen for eggs, and John said, "Well heck, I pay $2 for eggs that have been sittin in the store for 3 months!!!!!! Here's $3 and bring me a dozen every week!" And he always clears our driveway with his tractor when it snows, and doesn't even ask for anything back. And Annie LOVES chickens and always offers to take care of them when we're gone, and don't ask for anything. They're awesome neighbors.
