I was a Hillary supporter and I, by no means, am giving my support to Obama merely because he is a Democrat. Just like others have said they shudder to think what will happen if Obama wins, I shudder when I think what could happen if McCain wins (much like I curse when thinking of the Electoral College that put our current President in office). I believed Hillary to be the better choice in the primaries, but that doesn't mean I think Obama is a bad choice. Here's hoping for Obama!

Edited for clarification.

There is only one thing missing from all ballots in elections that needs to be included. That is a "NONE OF THE ABOVE" check box. I would be willing to bet voter turn out would increase substantially if that was an option.

I am excited about Sarah. I have read a lot of really good things about her today. I love that she is willing to stand up for what she believes and that she does not allow others to control her or make her decisions for her, at that she actually takes action to fix things that need to fixed.

I am also interested to hear what her thoughts and plans are for education. I was talking with a teacher today, and she said that she had heard Sarah talk about everyone should have the right to a proper and fair education, no matter your individual situation. She said that her son Trig, should have the same rights and opportunities that any of her other children should. I think she could be really good for the country. We need someone who is willing to take control and stand up for what is right.

Like wise if we had a 3rd party on the ballots. So we could have another person to Vote for.

Hate the way our Senators Vote down the party line.

It seems to me that we all blame the president for the laws, policies and spending that comes out of Washington DC. Nobody is willing to place much of the blame where it actually belongs. . . CONGRESS.
Congress is the part of our government that was given the authority to pass laws and control the purse strings. A president will only be in office for at most 8 years. Senators and Representatives can be in power until they die if their constituants keep voting them in. It is really easy to blame the president but as you can see from how much has not been accomplished by this current congress, they can legislate and spend or not, and the president (by himself) cannot force them to do more/less, he can only veto and request/recomend.
Even wars requires that Congress vote on funding. Remember this when your Congress people blame the president, who ever it happens to be at the time, for huge deffecits, stupid laws and mandates, insufficient funding for the federal agencies that are trying to keep us safe and general missmanagement of the money that they take form us in taxes. Most people blame everyone elses Congress people for these problems while giving their own a pass. That is why there is normally very little change in both houses of the Congress. No one thinks the people from their state are at fault.
We all must remember that if we want a change in Washington DC we need to change the people we are sending to Washington DC. Any of the incumbants there, have been bought and paid for by lobbyests by the end of their first term. After that you don't have their ear any more, the lobbies do. I myself will be voting for new people to represent me in Washington this year.

DW and I are taking our four daughters to the McCain/Palin rally today in Washington, PA at Consol Energy Park at 3pm to witness a little history, cheer on our candidates and introduce our girls to the political process, see a future president and first female VP.

I'm really looking forward to hearing Sarah Palin speak. From what I've read and heard so far, I am very impressed. She was far from a safe choice for McCain and I'm looking forward to hearing what she can add to the ticket, from her perspective.

I've also never been to a political rally, so it should be a nice new experience!

A democrat (Bill Clinton) is the one that made welfare reform which made a cap on how long people could get welfare through out thier life, and no extra welfare for having more kids 2 or 10 the payment stops at 2 . I loved the welfare reform laws. Also I have been from dirt poor teen mother of 2 (did not go get welfare, I worked 56-72 hours a week) to upper middle class and I remember when Bill took office he straightened the economy out big time, here in mass it was so bad nobody was hiring not even mcdonalds.Lucky for me I already had a job. And please dont talk minority I have a beautiful 1/2 black grand daughter, there are alot of good and bad people of all races (99 % of serial killers are white).
