whole corn on the cob

I just got home from Safeway, they had fresh whole corn on the cob for $ .25 per ear! Well I got 10 ears,

I plan on roasting some later but I wanted to know if it would be okay to throw a couple raw ears (with the husks) to the girls and my teenager chicks? They all have plenty of access to grit, etc.

I threw a bunch out that wasn't that good looking anymore to mine, and they had a field day with it

No husks - peel it for them. They LOVE it. It's my girls favorite treat. I even freeze several dozen for them so come winter I cook them 3 minutes in the microwave, let it cool down and give it them nice and warm, they really LOVE it!
