I woke up at 5:00 to this only three chicks survived the one that was out of the cage is gone
I live in the city but there is a couple of predators around but what could have got in this cage there is a couple gaps in the pen but there not big enough for anything real big to get in there
All their heads were off and a couple of their bodies have been ate what could have done this? It happened at night so I don’t think a hawk

I bet a raccoon did that.
It probably got through the chicken wire somewhere. Chicken wire is not predator proof, so you may want to think about using something else so this doesn't happen again.
It’s happened before in a similar manor but I thought I had built a sturdier cage but I guess not

The way they took the heads off is a sign of a mink or weasel. they like killing and not eating much. If a minks head can get through a hole the body will, a mink can get in a hole the size of a tennis ball. My dad had a bird game farm for close to 50 years and this would happen from time to time, he always would catch the mink the next night or 2. Sorry you lost your flock.
