Wow! Yay!update - found 6 eggs this morning ! 2 next to their pool and 4 in their house. The Pekins are 19 weeks old - I am thinking of taken the two largest and putting them in the incubator to see if they are fertile![]()
I will pass this along, I have read it on the forum. Generally, it is good to wait a few weeks to incubate eggs, since the ducks can start laying before all systems are "go." Hatches are less successful from the first several eggs laid. But don't lose your enthusiasm, get ready to go to the next level. Just might want to eat the first several days' or even few weeks' eggs to be sure you will have thriving ducklings when they do hatch out.
