Whoo hoo! Got my babies today! PICS included

how cute!

I am very new at this, but I think cochins would have feathered legs...right? They look like the barred rock pics I've seen. The yellow ones look kind of like my buff orpingtons, but not sure if the leg color is right.

I think the last ones are barred rocks also. They would have some feathers on their legs if they were cochins.

They are very cute, and you did a good job getting pictures of them with the little fence in the background. Adorable little guys!

I just had my broody cochin hatch baby chicks that look EXACTLY like those. I don't think they get feathers on their feet until they are older.

I have 4 of the chicks in question and shouldn't have any barred rocks, but I should have cochins. I'm hoping that they're cochins, the 2 that I already have are bantam and these 4 are standard, I love Albert and Alberta. He got his name because he was a chubby ball of fluff when I brought him home, (fat albert) from the cartoon.

I'll have to get a pic of him tomorrow, he's pretty. They don't have feathers on their legs yet but neither did he. I'm still fairly new to this so I could be wrong but I sure hope not.

I live in Oregon, Pacific Northwest to be exact. It is pretty wet lately, and about in the 40's now at night. I have their brooder in the laundry room, and won't have them outside till they are fully feathered, possibly longer, depending. I was a little leary getting chicks this late in the season, but I'm not known for my patience when I want something, so waiting till spring was out of the question.

Thanks for all the nice responses! I posted pics of the ones I didn't know the breeds of on What Breed Or Gender Is This, but I've only got one response in regards to what breeds they could be. This person thought pic# 6 was a RIR, pic# 7 was a Buff Orpington, and pic# 8, the black ones, were Black Australorps. I actually printed off pics of babies of the chicks I didn't know the breeds of and tried to figure it out. Yeah, right! Of all the breeds that had black babies, they all looked the same to me. And forget trying to identify the yellow ones. I'm so amazed at all of you that can correctly tell what breeds these guys are at 2 days old! The pics of Cochins, on MPC, have feathered feet, so not sure that is what the black ones are.
