Who's been hurt making their coop/run?

He exasperated his Carpal Tunnel so bad with the J-Clip pliers that he could barely use he hands for weeks. He did finally have surgery on them last year - 6 weeks apart! I don't think he will ever use the pliers again.
Just a side note that he had really bad CT before but it really made things bad to jclip a 56ft length of wire and all the side pieces. Anything that is jcliped from now on is my problem.

Digginfox, thanks for the headsup about the Sawzall- that was my next project! Might have to rethink the plans.......

My worst was when a big framing square fell 5 feet- and broke my hand when it hit, as well as a big gash across the back.

Five weeks in a cast, and I blame it all on BYC!!!!

I had just joined, and if I had just been content with my few chickens I wouldn't be having to build anything! But no................ got to have more .....more...........MORE!

I did not get hurt building, but New Years Eve they were calling for some heavy rain, I ran out to stretch a tarp across my chickens outdoor run and fell backwards off the ladder and tore a muscle in my back and knocked the wind out of me!!!!

I went out to the barn with a multitude of tools with the intent of injuring myself. Cuts, bumps, bruises and burns....and a chicken coop broke out...er went up.

i hit my head with a post hole pounder thingy!!!! There was blood everywhere and i ran in the house and i hid from my husband!!!! Then when the bleeding stopped i ran back out to finish my project!!!! Nothing was gonna stop me heheheheheheheh:p

if you're not sore the next day you had more help than you needed.
if you're not bleeding you're not working fast enough.

Our friend cut off his pinky finger with the table saw building his coop. Had the doctor sew it back on, then found out for some stupid reason his insurance wouldn't pay. He calls it his $20,000 chicken coop. He says if he'd known before, he'd have sacrificed the pinky. Doesn't know if it's worth $20,000. That was a few years ago. Still paying for the finger.
My DH hurt his back trying to move and stand up a real heavy wall the first week building the coop. He has been in pain ever since. Watching for the light at the end of the tunnel!
