Who's hatching 6/10 also broodys due 5/27 hatching, 6/3, 6/5,

I have mandarin and call duck eggs due 6/10.

I had a nice surprise yesterday afternoon. We came home from our youngest grandsons first birthday party and I was going to throw out the eggs that didn't hatch yesterday and one had pipped. It finally broke loose about midnight. I got up at around 12:30 to check on it and it was stuck to its cord and the screen on the bator. The cord was wrapped around its leg and dried to the screen. I unleashed it and put it in the other bator. It's a Banty of some kind just don't know what yet. It is from some test eggs that somebody wanted to test new shipping skills. It is the only one to hatch so far. I decided to leave the rest in there for a few more days because I know there is something in them I just don't know if they are alive. Could be scrambled yolks too. Most of them are brown eggs. I really ned to get a candler.

day 18 candled the eggs in the incubator took out turner.
I had 30 shipped BLRW eggs 12 are good 18 were scrambled.
12 home laid welsummers 9 good 2 clear 1 quieter.
I upped the humidity now we wait

Well, after broody hatched the 2 the other day, she sat on the other 4 eggs until yesterday. She left them early in the day to go on Chick Parade. Around she marched her 2 babies, leaving the others for goners.

One was peeping and pipped, so I panicked and finally, in the evening, I put them in a plastic shoe box on a heating pad with a wet washcloth under them, 2 dry ones on top. The chick hatched and is out on Chick Parade with the other 2, after I stuffed her under Luna last night with the eggs at bedtime.

Now I sit with a bra ful of eggs, one pipping, because she left them again, and I can't keep the temp stable on the heating pad. I'll keep up with them as long as I can!!

One of my 6/10 batch under the broody hatched!!! Not sure about any others because she is in the way, but I'm so excited this was my first hatch.

Shay give her time, you'll get to see all the babies soon as shes ready to take them for there first walk.

Today is day 21 for my incubator.
I have 2 BLRW hatched one zipping and 2 more pips.
On my welsummers we have 2 pips.

My 4 hens are doing great with all the chicks.
I have hen # 5 due 6/23 and hen #6 is due 6/26.
I have 2 more hens that are broody I want to set them this weekend just dont know where I'm going to put them all.

Don chickensandmore is hatching some of my eggs he is at day 21 today. I'll have to get an update from him.

Looks like a bumper year for broody hens.

The one that hatched wiggled out from Mama to explore a little. He looks like he's one of the AustralorpXSexlink mixes.

I lost one.... someone stepped on my last little baby to hatch and broke her neck. I only have 5 left.

Not such a good hatching for me. Just 8 out of 44 eggs I started with in the incubator. I'm losing hope of the rest, it's day 23. I know it's not the incubator, and they were largely shipped eggs, but in my brand new Genesis, I expected much better!

Sigh. Oh well. I'll leave them through tomorrow, then toss. Monday I'm expecting a shipment of my first quail!!
