Most of my shipped BBS Rocks showed air cell damage. If any hatch I'm going to be lucky. One of the double yolkers failed to develop. One is developing.... Oddly. That's one weird candling result, very chaotic in there.
The first turkey egg rescued from the idiot broody failed badly - as I feared, her failure to turn and handle them properly led to a chick both deformed and stuck to the shell/membrane. I will be ecstatic if even one of the remaining seven hatches properly. Fortunately the other hen continued to lay and I have 12 more eggs in a friend's bator.
Some of the tiny partridge rock pullet eggs were fertile and continue to progress. So I may have my first babies from this group. Which would be cool but pullet eggs have hatching problems so we'll see.
This is probably going to be a rough week but I knew the risks going in to this group. They're going to need my help and God's, to come into existence at all.
