Who's hatching around April 17th?

I have a pip on one of my buff silkie eggs, but it pipped on the bottom of the egg.

Looks like one of my little ones got pecked to death before I could get them in the brooder, he's struggling along right now but I'm pretty sure he's not going to make it.

Oparea so sorry about the little one. Sometimes they survive, here's hoping.

I've got a second pip going, here's hoping. It's a BBS Rock with a very bad airsack problem. Likely to be weak from the lack of space in there.

Three more like that and then one that has never candled normally, keep wondering which end isup on that one, just strange in there. Kept leaving a question mark on it throughout development. But it's moving.

Best of luck you all. hugs

Im new on here,

We had 12 Speckled Sussex and 6 Rhode Islands shipped due to hatch tomorrow.

They all survived the shipping and when candled there were only one or two that were iffy.

However we had a dissaster last week when one of our incubators stopped working and we had to race to fix it! Dont think any but maybe 1 or 2 survived going on a later candling but the proof will be in the hatching!

We had 3 pip this afternoon and have had one of those ( a Rhode Island) hatch already who looks more than healthy, we have one near finished zipping and one still just pip'd out of our incubator that didnt give up so heres hoping for some more healthy chicks!!

Total of three pips now! The BR poult is tumbling around trying to greet all the peeping. It's cute, chicks aren't normally as stumbly as the little poult is but he's had a rough go.

Luck to you all.

I have another silkie egg with a pip.

I was worried since it is late in day 20 that they are pipping, but then I remembered that they were incubated with duck eggs, and I had to open the bator 10min each day to cool the duck eggs.
