I'm really bad about writing the dates down too. I keep a spreadsheet on my laptop with details on every hatch and sometimes it's days after I set them when I remember to update the sheet!

Details, details....when did they pip, how long till hatch, could you here them peeping in the egg? My first duck hatch and I'm dying to know what's going to happen! Did your eggs rock first? If they did, how long till pippin? Sorry....I'm just super curious!

I candled my eggs last night, and most of them are still good. I have 4 call duck eggs in my bator that are a week behind the first, and only one of them is doing good. The other 3 have blood rings
Not sure if it is because of them being transported home in a bowl with quail eggs, or if I have done something else to them. All of my own duck eggs are doing well, except for one or two that look clear, so I don't understand what went wrong.
oegblady~~ I have heard both 23 and 26 days on calls. I believe the 26 days is more for mallards and BEI's, so just to be safe I would stop turning them on day 21. It won't hurt them if you stop turning them early.

Bummer on the blood rings, Shelley. I had one that got a blood ring in with Squishy's hatch bunch (before I put them in the hatcher), ended up tossing it.
